Return to Face-to-Face Learning
Community College Gippsland has announced it will be following the lead set by the return-to-school announcements given by the Victorian Premier and Chief Health Officer today. The organisation has released a schedule of return-to-campus dates:
Thursday 21 May
Classes recommence for pre-accredited students and those undertaking a certificate or diploma qualification
Tuesday 26 May
Classes recommence for ECG College students
Wednesday 27 May
Classes recommence for VET in Schools students
A number of new conditions will apply to each campus to reduce the risk of Coronavirus:
Classes will start and finish at the normal time, however, class breaks will be staggered on campus throughout the day to minimise the number of students in common areas
Changes will be made to ensure that students can maintain physical distancing of 1.5m in shared spaces
An extensive cleaning regimen will continue, including making sure that students can easily wash their hands and access cleaning materials throughout the day (for use on high-touch surfaces like desks and equipment)
Students and staff are required to stay home from school if they are feeling unwell
For students who are unable to return to face-to-face learning alternative methods of delivery will remain available
The organisation has encouraged any student or family member with questions to get in contact by phone: (03) 5622 6000 or email info@ccg.asn.au
