Community College Gippsland (CCG) is a registered charity committed to positively changing lives and enhancing social inclusion through the transformative power of education.

CCG is governed by a board of directors who are committed to providing not-for-profit education to the local community, from secondary to adult education. The board members are community representatives from diverse backgrounds and industries, who volunteer their time to contribute to the provision of progressive education to our community. The Board is supported by a Chief Executive Officer who leads the Senior Management Team.

We have an exciting opening for experienced Board Directors to join our Board. The successful applicants will serve as active voting and non-voting members and carry out the duties of a Company Director to provide good governance to Community College Gippsland. We are particularly seeking those who have skills, knowledge and experience in:

  • Training
  • Secondary and post-secondary education
  • Human Resources

Time demands

As a Board Member, you will have the time to commit to Board Meetings and represent the Board at various CCG events.

  • There will be approximately eleven monthly Board meetings held from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, plus strategic planning meetings. These meetings will take place at various CCG locations or via web/phone as preferred by Board members. Sub-committee meetings are also held, ranging from quarterly to monthly meetings.
  • CCG has a volunteer Board. A professional development budget is available and costs for PD expenses including travel and accommodation is approved by the Board.

CCG is a Child Safe Organisation and has zero tolerance for child abuse or harm.
