The Associate Principal – Curriculum and Pedagogy plays a pivotal role in enhancing the educational framework within our school. This position is designed for an experienced educator who can lead instructional practice, implement curriculum and validate assessment. The successful candidate will have operational oversight across our campuses, aligned to VRQA Minimum Standards, to implement effective pedagogical strategies that foster student engagement and academic excellence, ensuring our educational offerings meet the highest standards.
The role
- Work with the College Principal and the school’s leadership team to drive and deliver the achievement of strategic planning objectives and milestones.
- Lead workforce development initiatives for teaching and LSO staff.
- Organise mentoring and support mechanisms to assist preliminary registered teachers to move to full registration status.
- Oversee PLT practices for high-impact outcomes aligned to a cycle of improvement.
- Develop ECG pedagogical approaches through a cycle of reflection and improvement.
- Ensure a guaranteed and viable curriculum is in place and ensure planning, assessment and reporting practices align to VCAA requirements and requirements of other external authorities.
Requirements
- Victorian Institute of Teaching (Full Registration)
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
- A relevant degree in Education or a related field.
